What the Bible actually says
Owners parent as if the children were theirs and the results were theirs to secure — so they grip, grade, and exhaust themselves. Ambassadors know the children belong to God, the heart-change belongs to grace, and their job is to represent the King's mercy in ten thousand ordinary moments. You cannot change your child's heart; that was never your job — and that is the best news a tired parent ever heard.
