What the Bible actually says
You can staple fruit onto a dead tree and it will look alive for a week. That is what behavior management does: it rearranges the visible while the roots stay untouched. Jesus said a tree is known by its fruit because fruit comes from roots — 'out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.'
