Turn your gaze toward peace

Five movements from what hurts to the God of peace — shaped by what this check just found. Pray it slowly, out loud if you can.

Pain and distraction hold the eyes down. These five steps — anchored in the Gospel, taught by questions — turn your focus away from what hurts and toward the God who gives peace: with Himself first, and, whenever possible, with yourself and with others. Forgiveness is always possible; reconciliation, whenever it is. Your progress is kept so you can see how far you've come.

Simple enough to remember. Deep enough to walk. Yours to pass on.

Where does this walk begin?

Forgiveness is unilateral — it needs only you and God. Reconciliation is bilateral — it needs truth, repentance, and safety on both sides. Where there has been abuse, restored forgiveness never requires restored access. Walk those steps with a pastor or counselor.
